Alina's mother is Finnish, so she is half Finnish. Alina had moved alone to Japan recently, and now she lives there all by herself. Since she has dubious knowledge of Japan, she can easily misunderstand something that people around her do or say.
When in class, she is sociable and bright. She lives in the same condo as Akira, so she likes to come over to her room and eat snacks with her.
Usually, when something bad happens, Alina starts speaking haltingly because she is still not very good at Japanese. Although she must have come from Finland, it is pointed out that she often uses Russian words mixed with Japanese.
