Natsusaki Yomi

Yomi is actually a cat. It’s a little troublesome to go into details, but the real Yomi is a girl who the protagonist Yousuke met in a sunflower field along with a black cat. They played every day until one day Yomi stopped coming. The black cat ended up taking the appearance of Yomi who could no longer come and played with Yousuke. This is because the real Yomi turned out to be sickly and doesn’t have much more to live. Miraculously she managed to last until a few years later when Yousuke had to move away to Tokyo, that’s when the real Yomi passed away. Following that, the black cat returned to her cat form and stayed that way, lazily living for 8 years until Yousuke returned during his summer vacation in university. That was when the black cat turned back into Yomi and the story began.

In Hina’s route Yomi chooses to disappear from the memories of everyone and becomes a black cat named “Yomi”. Throughout the story she helps Yousuke and Hina behind the scenes as just a “smart” cat.
