She is actually a Nature Spirit who resurrected Sakura in order to fulfill her role of destroying the Ghost Child. She doesn't really care about humanity, the town or the protagonist specifically, nor bears any grudge, so she fails to explain her motives after "killing" Ran thus becoming his enemy. She actually has only broken the link between the doll and remote puppeteer which had been brainwashing Hatsuyuki towards executing his vengeance. She wields the Silver Sword which hurts not body but soul, banishing ghosts. In the end, she starts to understand people better and think she really loved Sakura...
