Himeka, the story's main heroine, is the sole heiress of the esteemed Mikosono family. Not just a pretty face, she's an all-around talent who also manages the Ouma Shrine. Everyone in school knows who she is, not just because she's from a well-known shrine family. She's got this warm and open vibe that makes everyone, teachers included, look up to her.

In her other life, Himeka is a Sennagi—a warrior priestess fighting off the evil Night Demons. She willingly participates in the "Shinji" (divine ritual) to ramp up her spiritual power for the battles ahead. As fate would have it, her classmate, Souma, is more than just another face in the crowd. He's her partner in the Shinji and her ally against the Night Demons—even if she hasn't figured it out yet.
