Fusemori Souma

Souma, the tale's central figure, has come to Ouma City in line with a longstanding agreement between the Mikosono and Fusemori clans. In a world of rituals and divine obligations, he stands as Himeka's ordained partner. At first glance, he might seem intense, even intimidating, thanks to a natural sternness in his eyes and a speech pattern more formal than expected for his age. Yet, this masks an indomitable sense of justice—a need to assist anyone in distress, whether human or beast.

The Fusemori family, although being exorcists, hail from a lineage of Night Demons and have physical capacities far superior to ordinary humans. A unique artifact further enhances Souma's powers—the Wolf Mask—allowing him to morph into a white wolf and bolster Himeka's crusade against the creatures of the night.

Under the shroud of darkness, Souma becomes Inugami, the wolf-masked Mayoi focused on ritualistic tasks and skirmishes with the Night Demons. By daylight, he's the new guy in class, gradually connecting with Himeka on an emotional level while preserving his hidden persona.
