Hermes was the supervisor of Promestein hundreds of years ago when she worked as a clerk and secretary in one of Heaven's libraries. Promestein's questions of how things in the world worked would be dismissed by a universal answer of "through the benevolence of Ilias", and these questions would frequently annoy Hermes.
