Washizaki Mayumi

The mother of Kei and Haruka, and a proud housewife who takes care of the house in place of her working husband. She is a beautiful woman with a warm and gentle atmosphere. There are no noticeable wrinkles on her face and her skin looks quite youthful, as a result of which she is often mistaken for being younger than she really is. Haruka's well-proportioned facial features are a result of the strong influence of her mother's genes.

She is the complete opposite of her unsociable husband and is very charming. Her affable nature and youthful appearance are such that even her more elderly mannerisms seem very endearing. She is cheerful and talkative and gets along very well with her neighbors.
