Kourenji Hayato

"When I was a kid, I always wanted to be a hero."

The protagonist of the story. After living in the countryside for a long time, in order to attend his high school, he decides to move to Tokyo and stays at a boarding house runs by his relatives.

When he was young, he was passionately longing to be a Hero of Justice, while being adored by the adults in his neighborhood. He was totally absorbed in his hero's role and activity. As he gets older, he realizes that what he did looks pitiful and turns himself into a completely "normal" student.

During his childhood, he was traumatized from being bitten by a stray dog while he was protecting Mikuri, so he is now afraid of dogs, and the bite wound still remains on his arm.

His alter-ego is the Crimson Hero "Fire Forge" who can control fire. Appearing when the heroines are in a pinch, he strikes down the evil organization with his fist.
