He helped Yukio Tozuka in resolving the problem regarding the debt collectors harassing their actor Akiomi Mondo. After the show's production, Bando noticed that the dry ice machine purchased from Endo Electronics was malfunctioning and wouldn't stop producing dry ice. The show's producer, Sukozawa, sent Bando, Tozuka, and the novice actor Takuya Amo to return the ice machine.

Once Minorikawa informed them that they could discard the dry ice machine, the trio allowed Kano to take it, using it to deactivate Alphard's bomb and save the Scramble.
