A Detective Defined by Thrift and Cynicism, on a Quest for His Lost Childhood Friend

An investigator working at Trigger Detective Agency, with roots tracing back to an orphanage where he grew up alongside childhood friends Yuzuriha Saina and Amaori Natore. Though Kai may come off as rough around the edges and a bit untidy—not to mention his penny-pinching ways—he has a running mouth skilled at talking his way out of trouble.

Yet, there's more to Kai than meets the eye. Underneath lies a bedrock of steadfast determination, driving him to stick to his guns no matter the odds. Calm and strategic, he always plans steps ahead. Having been through hell many times over, little fazes him these days.

Kai's quest is personal: to find Saina, whom everyone else has given up for dead.
