Swept up in the conflict between Europe and Asia at the beginning of the century, like so many others youths, Riley grew up by scavenging the battlefields and scouring the cities for anything useful. During this time, she discovered her talent for anything electric, transforming herself from a junk dealer into a tech wizard.

After losing her mother and father in a night raid, Riley felt lost, uprooted, and abandoned. Blaming both sides for this, she took to raiding convoys and booby trapping supply lines, earning the nickname 'Striga' in the process.

The anger left her hollow and as the conflict raged on with no apparent resolution; she started dedicating her knowledge by giving humanitarian aid to all the refugee camps that were popping up around the ever changing front line. This is where she met a young mechanic that wept her off her feet.

Riley caries with her a veritable bleeding heart. The struggle that she faced as a child and all the losses that came with it made her incapable of feeling attached to anyone. People were something that came and went, nothing and nobody was permanent. Despite this, no matter how much she would fight against her kind nature, how deep she would bury the loving child that she once was, the sight of a sunrise or a rainbow would all but reduce her to tears. Riley had been born to love and be loved, and that would never be changed. Courageous and fearsome, she never backed up from a fight, especially if someone's safety was on the line.
