Alita

She is the childhood friend of the triplets. She lives in a pretty broken family. Her mother, who had a drug problem, abandoned her and her father is said to have killed himself. As such she was in the care of her grandmother for a while but her grandmother, due in part to her age, became less able to care for her. She then was put into the care of her uncle who doesn't care for her at all, blaming her for his brother's (Alita's father) death. She is currently staying with John and the triplets.
