Grandfather worked more on her code, but her hard coding corrects foreign programs to restore it to its default in a slowing curve, which would eventually remove his changes and return her to factory default, thus removing her consciousness. He deeply regretted not being able to get around this, distraught that his new daughter of sorts will die some day. So he completed her body and gave her some clothes, introducing her to Ellen but shutting her off after admitting her existence would be confusing to others, and never turned her on again, wiping her memory so she wouldn't remember him when he died. Despite her physical age, Android has only experienced around 2 months of real time when she becomes an official member of the Hotel.
