The Ichikura family owns and primarily manages the only shrine on the island within their territory. Although they once held significant influence among the Seven Noble Houses, they have now been relegated to the lowest position.

蔵 (Kura): This kanji has several meanings, but most commonly, it refers to a "storehouse" or "warehouse." It can also imply something that is stored, hidden, or treasured.
