She was handed to me almost gift wrapped. A broken gift that barely spoke or seemed to understand her surroundings.

I think she was abused and used for so long that a part of her took refuge in the mind of a small child-like creature, responding to basic needs by learning impulse, and running on fear rather than substenance.

The only thing she seems to understand is violence inflicted upon her, and she responds by trading fear with lust, clearly used to making herself available as a way to survive the day.

What is true is that she is a remarkable beauty, with features that are uncommon and a skin that seems to bruise with exposition to the sun more that it did when she lived in the fumes of Old Cairo.

Her fiery red curls are such a rarity that she would stand out even if nothing else of her was visible.
