Priya Patel

Dr. Priya Patel is a medical doctor, an endocrinologist specialising in female infertility treatments. She is also a personal friend of Allison, they play bridge together, so she is the one called upon for any medical need in the (extended) family. According to Allison, Priya was the doctor that delivered the main character and that this was the first time Allison met her. (Priya has also mentioned that she used to have male patients as well, many years ago, so she has apparently changed speciality several times.)

Her interest in infertility treatments stems from her own total inability to become pregnant, something her relatives mercilessly condemn her for. (She is of Indian heritage and there it is seen as a great shame to be unable to provide her husband with an heir.) She is in an arranged marriage and once it became clear that she was both infertile and completely refused to give up her career to became a housewife, as would be traditional, her husband has totally shunned her.

The first time she appears is when Allison brings the MC to her to have his unnaturally large penis checked out. She diagnoses him as medically healthy, just extremely well endowed. She is also surprised, and flattered, when she happens to overhear that he is fantasising about her when he is jerking for a semen sample. (Not too surprising as she is herself "very well endowed".)

Later, MC offers to accompany her to her sister's wedding, as her husband refuses, and Priya decides to take a chance and take him up on it. (She is well aware that she can't disappoint her relatives any more than she already has so she decides to have some fun by having a young, white, man as her cavalier.)
