Jerome

Jerome is Aaliyah's and Jamal's father and husband to Jada.

Jerome has been heavy into muscle-building (it is unclear whether he still trains), including the use of steroids. (Jada mentions that he has taken enough steroids for his "nuts to shrivel up like raisins".) His abuse of steroids can probably explain his aggressiveness and bad temper. He seems to spend most of his time watching sports on the TV, drinking, and quarrelling with his wife and daughter. (Jamal no longer lives at home but Jerome despises him as Jamal is gay and Jerome cannot accept that.)

He hates the protagonist since an incident in the MC's teens when he was over watching movies (he was best friends with Jamal growing up). As most in the room had nodded off (it was late), a curious Aaliyah (who was just 13 at the time) had started feeling up the protagonist through his shorts and had just freed his dick enough to start fondling it when her father woke up, saw her, and threw a huge fit. While Aaliyah got grounded for a month, Jerome still blames the MC for the incident and would prefer to forbid him from ever set his foot in their home ever again but neither Jada not Aaliyah will accept that.

Three years after that incident, when Aaliyah threw a birthday celebration for the MC for his eighteenth birthday, Jerome intentionally threw the cake Aaliyah had baked at the floor just to spoil the celebration for the MC.

It is now a further three years later and Jerome still behaves hostile towards the MC as soon as he sees him.
