Yazaki Mamoru

Mimori's husband. A salaryman working for a mid-sized trading company. He is five years older than Mimori (38 years old) and holds the position of department manager at his company.

The Yazaki family comes from a wealthy lineage but lacks history, while Mimori's family is a distinguished house but struggling financially. Their arranged marriage was largely dictated by the circumstances of both families.

That said, immediately after their marriage, he passionately desired his wife, who possessed rare beauty. However, as Mimorii remained unable to conceive, the distance between them gradually grew.

He suspects the reason Mimori cannot get pregnant is because of him, due to having azoospermia or another similar condition to it. Fearful that Mimori or her parents might find out, he refuses the fertility treatment she has suggested.

Lately, he's even become afraid of having sex with Mimori, using work fatigue as an excuse. They have been in a sexless marriage for over a year.
