Professor Pete is a soft-spoken cat who lacks some self-esteem. He is friendly to others and is part of the "Silly Street Crew" with Flippy.

He falls in love with Tom in Chapter 2 after spending more time with him. After Tom's murder, Pete temporarily takes over the role of the protagonist, determined to solve Tom's killing. He does not let himself be consumed with grief and uses his love for Tom to move forward.
