Cymhen Grym

Patriarch of the Grym family and foremost master of the Gryms' magic specialty: Divination. One of only two male mages currently among the Great Families. Cymhen works closely with my mother on laws meant to reform the United Government and shift the balance of power out of the hands of the Great Families and back to the people.

After my mother told him about my Affinity, he offered to take me into the Gryms. My mother refused, so he advised her how to best avoid the notice of the other Great Families. When I came of age, he made his offer to join the Gryms to me, personally. I gave him the same response my mother did. He understood, and helped get me accepted into the same university that his eldest granddaughter, Cerys, was attending.

He came to my aid in the latest attempt on my life and offered me a place in his family once more. This time, I accepted, only to find that Cymhen means for me to marry Cerys in order to join the family.
