Nonomura Taeko

A disconcertingly impoverished girl, bereaved of both her parents and living on her own with her younger brother.

She holds numerous part-time jobs, originally starting out with one delivering milk. In spite of her miserable circumstances, her cheerful disposition gives her the drive to keep doing her best every day.
