He went on to invest this fortune into the development of Kameshima, not only upgrading its fishing equipment, but also improving the island's infrastructure to entice business to set up shop on the island — efforts that have earned him the appreciation of people all over the island.
He currently holds many key positions on the island, including serving as head of the Kameshima Fisheries Cooperative Association, and it is said that his appointment as the next mayor of Kameshima is all but confirmed.

Although admired for his many contributions to Kameshima's development, his personality leaves much to be desired. With many stories of him using force to get things to go his way, he is often high-handed in his dealings with others, fully aware that his position makes it difficult to oppose him.
Having moved his main home and base of operations to the mainland many years prior, there are abundant rumors that he has since added loan-sharking and land grabbing to the list of ways he's willing to add to his sizable fortune.
