A young man who instinctively comes to the aid of others whenever he is asked for help. He is rather careless with the use of his healing power, despite the cost to his memories, and is only thanks to Shinku's constant reminder to write in his special "diary" that he is able to retain his memories.

He frequently dreams of a blue sky from which white feathers fall and a voice that calls to him: - "Please... please save us."

He is a strong believer in the necessity of free will, especially when it comes to his "job" as a "nigashiya".

Kanoue Yuuma is actually a name he borrowed from someone else in order to get close to Shinku; in Irotoridori no Hikari, his real name is revealed to be Ren (レン). His true identity is that of the god who watches over all the worlds, although he is unaware of this. Yuuma is the author of "Irotoridori no Sekai", a world he created and lives in for the sole purpose of granting Shinku's wishes.
