April is a great magician whose name precedes her around the world. However, she has narcissistic tendencies, sacrificing anything in the advancement of her own power and glory. Despite taking him on as an apprentice, April makes no real effort to actually instruct Denis in magic, using him as a glorified servant instead of treating him as a pupil.
