“I want to become a nurse and be someone the village grandpas and grandmas can talk to.”

She's a hardworking older sister who helps out at the village clinic, driven by that positive dream. She's the protagonist's childhood friend and same-age older sister, but perhaps because her parents passed away, she's remarkably dependable and far more mature mentally than the protagonist.

Her attitude toward goals and her outlook on life are on a different level. Unlike Akina, she's an excellent cook and always, always covers for the slightly airheaded Akina-nee. When Chiri-nee smiles and says, “It'll work out somehow,” it really does seem like it will.
