Higashimikuni Shizuru

She is the only daughter of Ryuzo Higashimikuni, a chef who runs the long-established Japanese restaurant Shoan in Shikoku.

Perhaps because she trained from a young age under her strict father, without much interaction with others, she is extremely shy and not used to being praised, making her unable to express joy or gratitude honestly. She was instilled with the idea that "everyone should be able to do it" and is often harsh on herself and others, has few friends, and is unsociable. Perhaps influenced by her strict and oppressive family background, she is sensitive to heat and has a habit of wearing her uniform in a sloppy manner. Her curly hair also makes her sometimes mistaken for a delinquent. Shizuru is also self-conscious about her curly hair.

Her father, believing she "made a mistake in raising her," sent Shizuru on a trip to "train at a restaurant" so that she would at least be more sociable during working hours, but Shizuru herself believes that "as long as she has the skill, it's fine" and sees no need for training.
She has solid skills when it comes to Japanese cuisine, and being from Kagawa, she is very picky about udon noodles.
