She is the protagonist's classmate at Fujibuchi School, and sits just behind his first assigned seat. She is a nice, politely-spoken classmate wearing a cheerful and cute smile... which is just a first impression; her real side is quite weird. Both lovely and nasty, she is extremely honest with her curiosity, and actively enquires into anything unusual. Armed with such obtained secrets, she works on behalf of the "detective club" (with no evil intentions).

As a result, she is being evaded by other students and does not integrate well with the school. At that time, the innocent protagonist gets in touch with her, and from then on they will have more and more chances (which Kanata unilaterally brings about) to act together.
