Houjou Sanae

A widow who runs Houjou diner by herself in place of her late husband. She is hailed and admired by the men in the West Urehashi shopping district as their Madonna due to her prim and proper appearance, as well as her caring personality.

After her husband passed away, Yuki helped her cope with various things, which made her feel truly indebted to her. She actively participates in the activities of their women's circle, and in relation to that, she looks after Tsukasa as her savior’s precious son and as her dear little neighbor.

Because she still wholeheartedly loves her husband even after several years have passed since his death, she rejected all offers of remarriage talks. However, for Sanae who finds delight at comforting her loved one, a life of solitude is too lonesome, thus she yearns for the touch of a lover.
