Nagamine Rumiko

A petit-celebrity housewife who lives diagonally across the street from the Kurita family. She has been a full-time housewife since her marriage. She has a daughter and a son who are no longer in need of her help.

She has always been proud and concerned about appearances since she was young. She married her husband because he was an elite man working for a prestigious company. She has not had sex for many years. Her husband who is now the general manager of the prestigious company is having an affair with a subordinate. Rumiko is aware and is afraid of getting a divorce.

She is afraid that getting a divorce will lower her current standard of living, so even though she aware of his infidelity she puts up with it. She is a mother who does not get along well with her children, who feel alienated from her because she only cares about her physical appearance and status.

She enjoys browsing the internet. She browses through friendship forums to to release her pent-up sexual desires, she refuses to register on dating sites because her pride would not allow her to do so, nor would she dare to.

She is sex-starved and lives in agony. As she watches the protagonist visit the Kurita household daily, she tries her luck and tries to quench her pent up desires with him.
