Edward Elric is the protagonist of Hiromu Arakawa's manga "Fullmetal Alchemist" and the Visual Novel "Bluebird's Illusion".
He is the older brother of Alphonse Elric.
After becoming accustomed to his new automail limbs, Edward spent time with Shou Tucker before taking the State Alchemy Exam and passing, making him the youngest State Alchemist in history at the age of twelve. At the time of Bluebird's Illusion he was seventeen years old and had been promoted to the rank of a colonel, but mostly carried out secretarial work for Fuehrer King Bradley.
