Because she has the ability to see the truth and value of things called "Heavenly Eyes" and the feelings of people, the 12-year old girl was invited to Oshu as a trailer of Yoshitsugu, a family of merchants.

She is bright, energetic, and straightforward, and is not good at lying, cowardice, or crookedness.

At the beginning of the story, Saya is a little sister to everyone in Yoshitsune's clique, and is cherished and loved by them. However, as she goes through various experiences over the course of ten years, she grows not only in appearance but also in spirit.
