In truth he is one of male character and a former comrade of Ren in Dies Irae, Machina/Michael Wittman, after the death of Marie, Mercurius and Reinhard Heydrich, he along with other survived members of Marie universe joined in the group formed by Ren in order to protect what's left of her world.
