Rokujou Akamushi

The current head of the Rokujou House, which is one of the five general houses. A cunning, self-serving, and arrogant man. He is more small-minded and less talented than Nakanoin Reizen, but he is pretty tricky and sneaky. Without these qualities, he would have been assassinated in his sleep long ago.

He made a honorable warrior from his clan participate in the Fencing Kagura ceremony.

Still, the warrior died at the very beginning, along with Chigusa's and Iwakura's, due to Mibu Soujirou's surprise attack.

He went to the Eastern Expedition personally, unlike Chigusa and Iwakura. Still, his motivations were not as honorable as they appeared at first glance. Rokujou did this in order to profit while others fought and to strengthen his position.

Even though he tried to curry favor with Nakanoin Reizen in exchange for a position in the future new regime, at the meeting with a peculiar Tenma, he was betrayed and killed as a sacrifice.
