Ikeda Takaaki

He is a Ministry of Law bureaucrat who was friends with the late former Prime Minister Tsukamoto, the protagonist's father, and Eiri's father.

He is a very stubborn person, and many politicians do not want to get close to him. He
is not particularly happy with the current administration, but he believes that the results will be the same no matter which party takes power, and has not shown any proactive moves since former Prime Minister Tsukamoto passed away.

He is also not shy about saying publicly that "Tsukamoto's son is just a prodigal son who didn't inherit any of his father's good qualities," making him a very troublesome person for Kazuki, who needs his cooperation.
