Sasaki Kaori

The main heroine. Sou's childhood friend who is in love with him. She is a second-year student in Class B. She is Sou's classmate and the vice-president of the astronomy club. She is kindhearted and is good at cooking. She lives together with her mother and Sou's in a house; Sou's room is in a building detached from the main house.

At the beginning of the series, Kaori gets hit by a bus and ends up in a coma. This prompts Sou's to study science and medicine in order to save her. As Kaori was saved in the past, she wakes up from her coma in the present time where Sou was finally able to return her feelings.
