Kondou Isami

The commander of the Shinsen-gumi who oversees all their activities. Although he's said to be a worrier, he's the first to leap into battle when needed. He's known Hijikata and Okita for many years, and the three are almost like brothers. He seems to appreciate all of the protagonist's efforts to help the Shinsen-gumi.
