World famous since his middle school days, he was a promising young player who was winning matches abroad, but he killed mafia members by hitting them in the head with his custom-made steel tennis ball. The organization was annihilated, and he became a prisoner on death row known by the name of "Killer Tennis". Because he was incarcerated before coming to Saishuu, he says that the SHSL Tennis Player already is no more.

Although he looks like a child as well, his life experience would put an adult to shame. Thanks to his grand past, Hoshi has a coolness you wouldn’t think a high schooler could possess, and seems as if he wouldn’t be shaken even if he was personally harmed or if someone was killed. Even being shut up in Saishuu Academy and forced into a killing game, he seems unperturbed.
