Belial

Two hundred years prior to the start of the game, a mage discovered the entrance to Belial's prison and attempted to enter it to contract with Belial and gain unsurpassed power. This attracted the attention of the ruling Gods who sought to prevent this from happening. At the end of the struggle, a town which was the site of the struggle was teleported in its entirety to the ice mountain Avaro's party discovers during exploration by the gods which stopped Belial's prison from being breached. The events of the EX dungeon narrate how Avaro and party open the door leading to Belial's prison which frees her and almost results in the destruction of the world at Belial's hand had Avaro and company not stopped her.

After losing to Avaro and company, Belial is invited to stay by Fia's side and Avaro eventually contracts with her.
