His loyalty is to the effective clan head (usually Heizou and at times Kazuo). Usually tasked with physically subduing intruders or mansion guests who have learned too many secrets.

Usually posted in front of Heizou's private quarters when he's busy with women to ward off potential intruders and ensure the secret passageways are not accessed to spy on Heizou's actions.

Loyalty to household overrides loyalty to family and he has no qualms using full force against women.
