Kujou Yae

She owns a small restaurant, and she is a wife from Kyoto. She speaks standard Japanese, but sometimes her dialect shows itself.

She and the protagonist's step mother met through work, and they are good friends. Whenever she would be come home late from work, she would step up and take care of the protagonist.

She is an elegant and beautiful woman, but there is a hint of mystery about her. At the age of 20, she was discovered by her 60-year-old husband and got married. Because she is his second wife, her in-laws treated her as if she were their own child.

She has been waiting for her husband who suddenly disappeared when she was 30 years old. Whenever she passes split curtain of the shop, she performs a "kiribi", a purification ritual to bring in good luck.
