Masaki Tomoyuki

Masaki is an unemployed man whose life takes a dramatic turn. His story begins in Inokashira Park, where a failed suicide attempt leads him to cross paths with Tokisaka Yukari, who finds and rescues him.

Following his recovery in the hospital, he joins the Tokisaka Detective Agency as a temporary assistant. This opportunity arises partly because of his inability to fully use his left hand, a consequence of his suicide attempt. Furthermore, he feels a sense of obligation towards Tokisaka, who not only saved his life but also gave him a blood transfusion.

Despite his grumblings about the demanding nature of the work, Masaki continues to assist Reiji. Lacking other pursuits in life and driven by his passive disposition, he sees this role as a path to follow for now. Masaki is known for his mature personality, which, depending on the situation, can be both an asset and a hindrance. He tends to maintain a distance from others, creating a barrier that defines his interactions and relationships.

Showing no disturbance at the death of a close acquaintance, Ayato was noted for his diminished emotions and was prompted to resume visits to the psychiatrist he had previously seen.

Currently, he is aiding in the search for a childhood friend who has turned into a criminal and disappeared.
