Hayama Junpei

Failed his entrance exams twice, and so he is still a university student. His outstanding brother was about to take over their family's ryokan (Japanese hotel), but died in an accident, so Junpei returned back home. Yuka is an old friend of his, and has an inseparable relationship with her. They're close enough that they get into fights often. Thinking that Yuka and his brother loved each other, Junpei gave up on her and left his hometown.
