Catherine Hawke

Catherine Hawk is the second daughter of John Hawk, an American silver mining tycoon. She lost her mother at a young age and followed her father to America, where he discovered a silver mine and grew even richer from successful investments.

Consequently, Catherine became a desirable heiress overnight. Upon entering London high society she has immediately attracted numerous suitors, and became the center of gossip—some of which may be true.

She is yet unmarried, but many expect her to follow the footsteps of her elder sister Ida, who married an Earl’s eldest son.
