Graves has two known forms of magic, metal and cat magic. He is also skilled at ward magic. With his metal magic, Graves could create sculptures out of metal. Now that Nacht has taken his metal magic, he can no longer do so, and Nacht also limited some of Graves' speech, making it so he has a coughing fit when he tries to tell Avery about the situation with Nacht.
