Himari's hat that can talk. Himari constantly consults it when she's in trouble or doesn't have suitable comebacks in mind. Ends all of its sentences with "-de arimasu".

In reality Medesu is a spirit that took over Himari's hat - the present she got from the principal of the orphanage - as she wished not to be lonely.
