Daisaku's mother and Yukie's mother in law. All men of the Manabe family are expected to be married on their 16th birthday. Because the law won't recognize such a marriage, she arranges for Daisaku to live a common law marriage with his new bride.

Because Yukie is scared of losing to Hanako, she teaches Yukie the duties of a wife, including sleeping with her husband, bathing with him, and sex.
