Master

Amane's father and the master of the Dōjō. Very attached to the values of judo, the father of Amane is very traditional and quite strict with his pupils as for the respect of the rules of the judo.

When Shuuji broke the rules of judo using his martial knowledge for aggression, he excommunicated him from the Dōjō even though the aggression was justified.

Spoiler

He is grateful that Shuuji is protected Amane from the delinquents who wanted to assault him and is sorry to have excommunicated him from the Dōjō. However, he is quite ready to give him a second chance when Amane reintroduces him into the Dōjō sometime later.
