She is ordered to capture Klaus and retake the altar of reincarnation shortly after Klaus and Helmina defeat Reginia. With great difficulty, Klaus and Reginia succeed in breaking out of the encirclement. When she returns to her base to think through her next move, Elvire attacks with her forces. When Klaus and Helmina attack shortly after Elvire's assault, Luciel is unable to overcome the disparate demonic factions attacking at once.

If captured in battle, Klaus uses the threat of sex magic to coerce her into having sex with him. She is fully aware of what that magic is and never expected Klaus to be an expert at it based on his outward appearance. In the end, Klaus does not need to use the magic to bind her to his will, as he correctly guesses her fixation on battlefield preparation and emphasis on tactics are really her way of coping with a streak of cowardice.

If present in the final battle, Luciel reveals the importance she places on her sense of self-identity and why she remains compelled to serve Klaus even though she is not magically bound to his will.
