Leader of the Yusei Party.
Head of the small Yusei Party and a member of the House of Councillors. Also serves as Minister of the Environment.
During the 97th premiership, helped maintain a coalition government by partnering with the Democratic People’s Party (Minjito). His party holds 7 seats in the House of Representatives and 11 in the House of Councillors.
His demeanor, along with his appearance, serves as a softening influence on the Minjito’s otherwise hardline image. Has a devoted following among certain right-leaning young voters.
