Shirakomachi Akane

A young girl of the Oni tribe, Akane is a guard of the Hakukoma Senryu, who was sent in place of Kikyou, who was removed from Taiichi's guard to ensure the safety of the comatosed Kuon, Suzuka and Seira.

In Shirakomachi family, Akane and Kikyou are the only members, and they are not related (they are of different races to begin with). The only people who can call themselves the Shirakomachi are the eight highest-ranking members of the family, excluding the successor to the original family, who received the full range of licenses in the same era. Akane is the first of the Oni clan to receive the Shirakomachi title, so she has earned her her clan's respect and pride.

Akane is proud and has a great admiration for Kikyou, calling her her "big sister", and she is jealous of Taichi when she sees Kikyou pampering him.
